If you’re in Hong Kong on February 11th at 8pm, make sure you have a view over Victoria Harbour.
That is when nearly 24,000 pyrotechnic shells will be fired from three barges over Victoria Harbour for this year’s Lunar New Year fireworks display.
To ring in the Year of the Snake, the show will last 23 minutes and display a scene of a snake, symbolising good luck for the people as well as a fiery symbol of the number “8″ as a way of wishing good fortune and prosperity to everyone.
Finally, as a way to “showcase Hong Kong’s love of horse racing” the Home Affairs Bureau, which coordinates the event, has decided to incorporate a scene depicting the Korean hit Gangnam Style.
